Just in time for your holiday viewing pleasure, here is another video compilation of a recent special project we completed! A week ago Saturday we had such a beautiful day to build a new shade pavilion in Patterson's field that will also house a wash station and a tool rack to keep us organized. Many thanks to all of the extra volunteers who showed up to help with the construction!

Yesterday we made our last delivery of local susta

Yesterday we made our last delivery of local sustainably grown produce to @opentablema before Thanksgiving. The harvest included Brussels sprouts, the rest of our #carrots, some gorgeous heads of lettuce, potatoes, bok choy, kale, and more. After the harvest, we planted more garlic and cleaned up our remaining flower companion beds.

Our harvest donation to @opentablema was only ~200 pounds this week but it included some potent crops like these biquinho peppers, fresh ginger, bunching onions, fennel, radishes, and giant beets!

Pumpkin delivery day is finally here!!! Today we achieved our record high donation weight of 675 lbs to @opentablema. These gorgeous edible pumpkins and winter squash have been curing in our hoop-house for a few weeks and include #longpiepumpkin, #honeynut #walthambutternut #longislandcheesepumpkin #buttercupsquash and #kabochasquash varieties. Of lesser weight, but intense flavor, we also donated about half of our harvest of numerous varieties of #garlic. After the harvest, we got to take our new #walkbehindtractor for it’s inaugural run to prep our new #perennialfood beds for planting #asparagus.

Look at these giant #carrots we harvested today! Along with gorgeous #bokchoy and #swisschard and a bunch of other veggies, totaling around 170 pounds donated to @opentablema. After the harvest, @hannah_traggis gave a demo on #brusselsprouts maintenance and we prepped our former potato bed for #covercropping with a mix of oats, buckwheat, radish, and field peas.

Last Friday, our Medway team completed our final h

Last Friday, our Medway team completed our final harvest for the season at our Medway Community Farm plot. Another 68 lbs of gorgeous vegetables donated for hunger relief! This harvest included some beautiful Kentucky Wonder Pole beans which Kate has been saving seeds and replanting each year for about 4 years now. We wanted to give a big shout out to our recurring Medway volunteers for all their help this season: Thank you Christa, Mary, Kate D, Kate H, Carolyn, Ann and Trista!🙏🙏🙏
