Volunteering Guidelines

Volunteers are vital to our mission at Aurelia’s Garden. Please join us! We are a nonprofit company that is entirely organized and operated by volunteers. We love seeing familiar faces in the garden. It is equally wonderful to meet new gardeners! We welcome you to join us in growing nutritious fresh food for our local food-insecure communities.

We have two fields that we farm: one in Wayland and one in Medway MA. To volunteer, please sign up for a date, time and location at our Sign-Up Genius portal. Please sign up before 6 pm the night before the volunteer session to help us plan and prepare for you. Volunteers are required to be over 18 years of age.

Aurelia’s Garden in WAYLAND

Tucked into the lush beauty of the Sudbury Valley Trustees conservation land, our Wayland field is a wonderful place to come learn to grow vegetables and participate in providing fresh food to the local community. Currently, we are tending about one acre of land and have a wide variety of crops in production. To work with us in Wayland, please sign up so we know to expect you.  Once you sign up, we will email you our work plan for that day and let you know about any tools or supplies you should bring. On your volunteer day, be prepared for a 5-minute walk to the field and a location with no facilities.

Aurelia’s Garden in MEDWAY

We would love to have you help us nurture a food pantry garden in partnership with Medway Community Farm. If you would like to come garden with us while enjoying the peace and beauty of surrounding land please sign up below. We will communicate important details, work plans, and at changes we might have for the session you plan to attend.

For both locations, volunteers should bring their own water and snacks.
